| How I Heal |
|
I combine different healing systems to work on your body, your mind and the energy that connects them. The flexibility of my practice allows me to adapt to all sorts of people with all kinds of complaints. There is one variable that determines which skills, techniques and energies I will use on you: you. No two people are the same, and even one person is different year to year and day to day. Healing systems and the healers that use them must be dynamic to adjust to the specific needs of each client. I combine bodywork, energywork and guided imagery and meditation to facilitate self-healing. I use Cranio-Sacral therapy and a Hawaiian bodywork system called Kahi Loa. Cranio-Sacral uses a subtle touch to bring muscles, fascia, bone and bodily rhythms into better alignment. Often it is subtle imbalances that eventually cause the biggest problems, so Cranio-Sacral can be very powerful. Kahi Loa uses a variety of touches that work primarily on the skin to relax the entire body. Formal kahi loa has seven parts, based around the seven Hawaiian elements: Fire, Water, Air, Stone, Plants, Animals and Human Beings. Aspects of all these exist in everything, and keeping them in harmony is vital for health. To some, "balancing fire," might not mean very much, but everyone can recognize that one's body needs more heat in some areas, and less in others. Similarly, we all know that we have an animal nature to us, and it can be both a blessing and a curse (especially if it is not well integrated into the rest of ourselves). In kahi loa, each element is given individual attention. It is a deeply relaxing and healing experience. What’s the one thing that connects physical matter, emotions, thoughts and spirit? Energy. Each one of these is a different form of energy. Physical matter is the most dense, followed by emotions and thoughts, but the important thing is that they all affect each other. By working directly with your energy, I give healing to your body and mind simultaneously. Energywork is subtler than bodywork, but it can cause real changes in a short amount of time, and incredible changes over a long period. I have studied four different energy healing systems, and I have developed a sense of which is good for what. The systems I use are Reiki (Master level), Huna (level 4 of 5), Phoenix Rising (level 2 of 3) and the 12 Ray Energy System. Each of these is a complete healing system, but combined, the results can be stunning. To give a bare-bones description of each: Reiki is all-encompassing, gentle, easy to connect with, and very powerful.Huna is actually a system of over 30 different energies which can be used for clearing harmful mental patterns, rejuvenating your cells, growing out of old patterns, detoxifying the body, dreamwork, and much more. Phoenix Rising is a beautiful system that restores, rejuvenates and renews at every level. Receiving this energy makes one feel energetic, happy and alive. The 12 Ray System works with energy at its core components. The energy shapes itself according to the recipient, so this energy provides just what you need, whatever you need! Our mind and body are always communicating- but is it a constructive dialogue? Getting your body and mind on the same page is one of the most useful and important things you can do to live a happy, fulfilling life. Using concepts drawn from huna about the nature of the conscious and subconscious (the mind of the body), I provide a fresh look on the roles that each plays in health and happiness. By guiding you to generate imagery, symbols, feelings, memories and dreams, I facilitate a pragmatic give and take between these two core parts of your being. The results are tangible, deep, and often very quick. Many of the techniques are easy to do on your own, so once you have learned them, you can use them whenever you like. |
